Abstract

This book is a tribute to “someone loved” who lost his life during the COVID-19 pandemic; not because of the virus, but as a product of forced confinement. Revisiting a prolific epistolary exchange that the author had with her friend Sally for many years, the tribute presented by the book also reveals itself as an opportunity to reflect on the complexities, conflicts and challenges brought about by the health, economic and social crisis that erupted globally in 2020. In this framework, reflections about life, death, laughter, work, the market, mutual aid practices and social inequalities create an interesting reflective base from which to re-think the challenges collectives that impose the current processes of structuring and social change.
