Abstract

The objective of this proposal is to discuss the potentiality of autoethnography in body studies with its particularities, this means fully understanding the implications of this method both in terms of epistemic positioning and demands for the researcher. The aim of this work is to reflect on the chiaroscuro of this and, if it is possible, to consider ourselves actors who can, under a process of reflexivity, find in the experience information that allow us to weave the micro / individual with the macro / structural. That is, to think about the possibility that there are ways to make the phenomena we analyze "touch" us in a relevant and meaningful way by carrying out related practices without losing sight of an analytical device that enables us to rescue and analyze this data. In the same way, it is intended to propose a dialogue with horizontal methodologies to achieve this objective and for the researcher to blur his privileged place of observation and build data from the skin, since we understand that this proposal is an ethical exercise that incorporates voices, glances and feelings (both their own and others') in favor of a refocusing of hegemonic concepts in the social sciences.
