Migrant sexualities. The migration experience of gay and bisexual colombian men in Spain

Abstract

The article is part of the first approximation to the field work of the doctoral thesis: Migrants Sexualities: the migration experience of gay and bisexual Colombian men in Spain, whose purpose is to understand how Colombian gay and bisexual men construct their sexuality in terms of values, beliefs, social representations and the culture of their country of origin and how they change them in terms of meanings, representations and behaviorsto reach a new social context in Spain. Additionally,
it aims to investigate if their relationships lead or not to take high-risk behaviors that affect their health, as these behaviors are influenced directly by the situations and contexts in which people have sex, as well as reporting sexual cultures which means any conduct in such situations.
