Households recipients of social programs and emotions of La Matanza

Abstract

La Matanza is located at west of Greater Buenos Aires, it is the largest in size with 325.71 km² and number of inhabitants with 1,775,816 (INDEC, 2010) within the Argentine territory, which is why it is called the fifth Province. These dimensions make its observation and analysis relevant together with its historical, political, social and economic journey; but they also talk about its complexity to address it. From the Social Observatory of the UNLaM, during the year 2018, a quantitative and qualitative research was carried out and among its results we have found that in 26.2% of households receive at least one social program. From this data in this article a description of these households will be made, about the type of intervention they perceive and emotions will be explored in relation to social programs.
