Abstract
This article discusses and extends the explanation of domestic violence and gender developed by feminist approaches, from a perspective focused on class conflict and domination mechanisms. The argument is directed to consider the specific way this phenomenon manifests in popular sectors of society. Thus, domestic violence is part of social domination mechanisms, understanding them in relation to the axis of class conflict, through the analysis of the body and emotions
