Bodily, space and new forms of sociality in the cinematography of Luis Ortega

Abstract

The article analyzes the visual dimension of corporeality just as it appears in the aesthetic, the narratives and the images of Luis Ortega's films, Caja negra and Monobloc. From the exhibition of the corporality and also of the expressions and the affections, it is possible to analyze the conformation of an intimate and daily social space that becomes present in the cinematography of Ortega with the figure of the micro‐worlds, to understand the sociability forms and the expression of the social experience, now givens in the materiality of the bodies like linking forms between individuals. This way, the relations between body and life or between body and pain they are conjugated in the article like ways of thinking the conditions of a new social and cultural experience.
