Abstract
This article analyzes how masculinities are discursively constructed, among gay men who often interact in chatrooms, mainly in order to have sexual encounters. The focus on corporalities is analyzed since the construction of a shown discursive ethos as well as and how this ethos is linked with the sexual experiences. A virtual observation was practiced on a website to gather men, and discursive analyze was done not only on the online users’ nicknames, but also on the announcements users did on a sort of public blackboard. This article think about on the construction of a shown ethos, typical of this genre, as of the relationship among nicknames and announcements on the public blackboard. Finally, the article concludes about the construction of these masculinities thought as “velcred” corporalities.
