O Corpo Queer como “Imagem-Mentira” na Telenovela Brasileira

Abstract

This article aims to propose the materiality of the queer body as a stylized product by the Brazilian telenovela, precisely because this body belongs to an assembly process that prioritizes in the image the evidence of certain absence. Thus, the queer body representation is a visual element of a coherent ideology assembly. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the television textual structures, the queer theoretical contributions and its own montage and absence definitions. From the concept of “Lie-Image” of Didi-Huberman, names like John Fiske, John Hartley, Judith Butler, Michel Foucault and Jacques Rancière will provide the theoretical basis for discussion.
